Justin Kozuch - Front End Developer for Hire

Well, after almost 8 months at Mindblossom, I have left the company.

What does that mean? Well for one thing, it means that I am now available for hire for any front end development contracts.

Now before I launch into a diatribe about why you should hire me, allow me to take a moment to give you a back-story of what my role was at Mindblossom, and some interesting recent developments.

My primary job function was that of a Front End Developer. I built a number of sites (microsites to full-on websites) using CSS and XHTML. During the course of my employ, I discovered something about myself that I had not previously realized. I learned that I had a knack for Strategy. This discovery came about while we organized to respond to an RFP issued by a local corporation.

I have developed a bit of a love/hate relationship with the services that this business entity provides. In fact, I relied (and continue to rely on) on the services provided by this entity. (Don’t bother asking me who it is. I will just ignore and delete your request. Confidentiality agreements are legally binding contracts). So I presented my research to the Strategy team, and those ideas were well received. As Borat would say, “Great success!”

Fast forward to today. I decided that I would incorporate new technology into a timeless tradition; job hunting. I decided to take a completely different approach to my usual job hunting habits. I’m going to promote myself and using social networking sites. Specifically Facebook and LinkedIn. Being that Facebook has approximately 856,875 users in the Toronto, ON (number accurate at the time of writing), what a better way to market one’s abilities? LinkedIn is also part of my overall strategy as it allows me to connect to business owners and their employees to further get the word out that I am looking for work.

To that end, what I’ve done is create a Facebook group about myself, my technical skills and what I bring to the table. The purpose of this group is to search for front end development contracts, and market my skills and abilities to a target group of potential buyers.

Therefore, if you are looking for a Front End Developer on a contract basis or full time, or know someone that is, I invite you to join my Facebook group: Justin Kozuch - Front End Developer For Hire.

My name is Justin Kozuch, and I approve this message.
